National Geography Bee

The optional geography bee is coming in January to Cottonwood!

Here are the details:

1) There will be a written in-class Bee the week of January 6th to the 10th

(the exact date will not be revealed)

2) The first place class winner (or winners in the event of a class tie) will attend a lunch time tiebreaker to select the top two winners per grade level. The lunchtime tiebreakers are on the following dates:
4th Grade: Go to Ms Wendt at lunch recess on January 13th
5th Grade: Go to Ms Wendt at lunch recess on January 13th
6th Grade: Go to Mr. Beatts at lunch on January 13th
7th Grade: Go to Mr. Beatts at lunch on January 14th
8th Grade: Go to Mr. Beatts at lunch on January 15th

3) The top two grade level winners will advance to the school Geography Bee on Thursday, January 23rd at 8:45am in the MPR.

4) The top winner for the school will advance to the State Qualifying Test.
